DISRUPT
31 DAY PRAYER Challenge
I’m so glad you’re choosing to use this prayer challenge to strengthen your prayer life. I believe it will be life-changing for you because you are essentially saying to God, “I’m not content with the status quo of my prayer life, and I’m ready to disrupt the monotony and become the prayer warrior you’ve called me to be.” The Lord honors commits like that! Here are 3 tips to maximize the prayer challenge in your life.
Stay committed even if you miss a day. The goal isn’t perfect participation, but continual commitment. I’ve designed the prayer devotional to be a simple kickstarter for the day, but I understand 31 days might feel too demanding especially if you miss a few days in a row. If you miss, just pick up with the new day. Next month you can go back and find the days you missed.
Use a journal. Each devotional challenge concludes with a prayer prompt for you to write down a personal prayer to the Lord. Be flexible in your written prayers—some days I write one sentence, and other days I write a whole page. So dust off a journal lying around or snag one at the Welcome Center this week!
Identify your devotional corner. Whether a chair, bed, or even a hammock with this cooler spring weather, consider finding the same spot each day to build a prayer habit in your life. Like the corner of a boxing ring to get a moment of rejuvenation, use your prayer corner to be coached by Jesus.
If you fulfill this prayer challenge for the next 31 days, I know God will do a special work in your life. Please reach out with any questions or testimonies at adam@visitlegacy.org!
