Good Friday

Good Friday

April 3 - While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

What makes this Friday good?

After all, that’s the day Jesus was crucified. That doesn't sound very good to me.

But friends, it is good. Very good in fact. Why? Because that’s the day our insurmountable debt was paid for.

Good Friday is when we remember the price our sin actually cost, and it also reveals how far God was willing to go to rescue you!

Without the cross, you would still stand guilty.

Thus, if you’ve ever wondered, “Does God really love me?” Good Friday is His answer.

Prayer Prompt: Jesus, thank you for dying for my sin! Thank you for paying the price I could never pay! Thank you for loving me so much that you endured the cross! I love you with my whole heart!

"It was not nails that held Jesus to that wretched cross; it was his unqualified resolution, out of love for his Father, to do his Father’s will—and it was his love for sinners like me." -D.A. Carson
