True worship costs something.
Sometimes that cost is in the form of time and resources. But there’s also a social cost of living set apart to God.
Others can misunderstand us when we give God our deepest affection…
It could be friends who do not understand why you prioritize Sunday worship.
It could be family who think you take your faith too seriously.
It could be other Christians who criticize you rather than reflecting on their own need for grace.
Mary anointed Jesus but Judas was concerned about the waste. How did Jesus react? He celebrated her worship. And his opinion is all that matters.
True worship carries a cost. Are you willing to pay it? I hope so.
After all, Jesus paid it all. The least we can do is worship with our all.
Prayer Prompt: God, I recommit today to worshipping you with my whole heart…with all that I am! I am thankful that Jesus gave himself as the perfect sacrifice, so today I offer myself as a living sacrifice to walk with you and worship you.
