Disrupt - Day 31
March 31 - I pray also for those who will believe in me. (John 17:20)
To end our challenge, remember this: Jesus prayed for you.
Let me say it again–The King of Kings prayed for you!
Did his prayer lose vitality because it’s been two thousand years? No.
Has his prayer skipped over you as if he can’t handle all his sheep? No.
Thus, every word is specifically about you and me. What a blessed treasure that is!
His prayer repeated two ideas: Our oneness with Him and our evangelistic testimony to the unbelieving world. Since that was his focus, I encourage us to ignite that spark in our lives. In other words, let us lean in with Christ, spending time with him and growing as close to him as we can. Also, let us confidently walk and talk as His ambassadors, trusting that He wants the world to see His redeeming sacrifice through us.
“If I could hear Christ praying for me in the next room, I would not fear a million enemies… yet distance makes no difference—He is praying for me.” -Robert Murray M'Cheyne
