Disrupt - Day 23

March 23 - Bring every care to the Lord. (1 Peter 5:7)

This verse states, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

Perhaps you take a backpack to work. It’s filled with a notebook, a few pens, a computer, a granola bar, and some random papers that should’ve been thrown out months ago. Every day you carry it…back and forth.

Likewise, we carry stuff in our heart every day. Joys and sorrows; hopeful plans and disappointments; encouraging promises and discouraging comments.

God knows we all carry stuff, and he wants us to bring it to him. What are you carrying today? What’s the heavy item in your backpack that you wish you had help with? Bring your care to the Lord and he will help.

For more reading, see Matthew 11:25-30.

Prayer Prompt: Lord, I am carrying [this] right now and it’s all I’m thinking about. Please help me to trust you and remember your promises. Please fill me with your peace and rest so I can continue faithfully in the responsibilities you’ve entrusted to me.

“Prayer is a sincere, sensible, affectionate pouring out of the soul to God.” -John Bunyan
