Disrupt - Day 7
March 7 - Pray for all people. (1 Tim 2:1)
Who is on your prayer list? Perhaps family or friends; what about coworkers, celebrities, and politicians? What about your enemies?! (See Matthew 5:44).
If you’re in disagreement with someone, pray about the situation. If someone irritates you, pray for them. When the flesh prompts you to gossip about a person, hold your tongue and pray. When the Spirit prompts you to pray for someone, there is likely a good reason, and God wants to use you as an instrument of Kingdom work. Often praying for others is how God sanctifies me, builds humility in me, and gives me greater compassion for them and their needs. Be obedient and partake in the partnership man has with God!
Prayer Prompt: God, I usually pray for my needs, but I want to begin praying zealously for others — for their salvation, their peace, and their joy. Please open my eyes to their needs and give me compassion to pray for them.
“When God can find a man who will pray, he will shake nations.” -Leonard Ravenhill
