Disrupt - Day 6
March 6 - But Daniel resolved (Daniel 1:8)
Daniel was a man of conviction; as an old man he even got thrown in the lion’s den for it. The miracles he experienced are often the most well-known parts of his life, but his routine was spending time with God at least three times each day. My guess is his morning, afternoon, and evening routine included prayer. That’s committed intentionally!
Resolve produces routine, not random behavior. Most Christians pray haphazardly when moments spring up and they feel like praying, but Prayer Warriors schedule time to pray. You already schedule when you wake up, when you go to work or school, when you eat or sleep. It’s time to begin scheduling prayer into your day. Set an appointment to meet with God and intercede.
What time will you resolve to pray?
Prayer Prompt: Lord, please deepen my resolve for you and your values. Reschedule my priorities to be wrapped around prayer like heroes in Scripture.
“The power of prayer has subdued the strength of fire; it has bridled the rage of lions.” -John Chrysostom
