March 13 - I thirst for you. (Psalm 63:1)
I hate being thirsty. In Tanzania I brought water with me all the time to ensure I stayed hydrated. Are you spiritually hydrated or parched?
King David’s song in Psalm 63 reveals a deeper understanding of knowing God. Infant faith is often happy to get God’s care and salvation; but as we grow in our faith we long for his presence where we declare “earnestly I seek you.”
Prayer Prompt: Lord, I want to thirst for you the way my body craves water on a hot day. Please mature my cravings to have the longings for your presence above all else.
